solar panels
An obvious way to harness free existing energy is to trap the heat from the sun and convert it into an environmentally sound method of reducing energy costs and lowering damaging carbon emissions.
At IHS, we have developed a range of completely integratable products and build highly energy-efficient heating and cooling systems for homes, offices and commercial outlets.
ihs solar collector
There are many types of solar panel and collector. At IHS we supply solar collectors that extract the sun's energy and circulate it through our heating systems.
IHS Solar panels are one of the most popular types of solar collector. They are a liquid-based, glazed flat plate. High-grade steel solar collectors transform radiation from sunlight into heat and transfer it to a medium such as water. Depending on where you live, such collectors can deliver a demand temperature of 30ºC to 100ºC. They also provide excellent top-up for your hot water system, particularly during the summer months.
Each kit from Invisible Heating Systems contains two vertical solar collectors of 2.02m2 each giving approximately 4kW of energy. Each kit is connected to a hot water buffer tank as recommended by IHS.

how solar collectors work
IHS solar collectors are flat plate solar collectors, ie. large sheets of metal with water pipes running through them. The metal has a low heat capacity and heats up very quickly. However, the metal's high conductivity ensures that this heat is rapidly absorbed by the water pumped through the pipe. The heat is then transferred once again through a metal coil (solar coil) in the hot water buffer tank.
IHS solar collectors integrate perfectly with our heating systems. A full schematic can be viewed by clicking here.
guarantee
IHS solar collectors are guaranteed for five years from invoice date only if they've been fitted professionally.
