Glencanisp Lodge Solar Evacuated Tubes

This beautiful old hunting lodge is a short drive from the village of Lochinver in the North West Scottish Highlands.  Purchased by the local community, the lodge is used as a base for a growing number of events, activities and letting accommodation throughout the year.

In 2010, IHS was commissioned to install 22.73m² of solar thermal evacuated tubes with two 800 litre multi-functional fresh water storage tanks.  It’s anticipated that this will contribute 9.77MWh annually to the lodge’s domestic hot water requirements which are estimated to be in the region of 1300 litres per day.
