IHS Heat Pumps - Introduction

Why are IHS heat pumps considered to be exceptional in the marketplace?

For years we've been working closely with our partners at IDM in Austria to develop the most efficient, technically outstanding heat pumps on the market possible; our air source heat pumps combine the convenience of a boiler with the efficiency of a typical ground source heat pump - for example we can produce heat with a COP of 4.2 (EN14511).  Our ground source heat pumps are exceptional, producing heat with a COP of 4.4.
We’re incredibly proud of our product range and our ability to design systems which demonstrate just how efficient these machines really are.

IHS heat pumps can supply all your heating, cooling and domestic hot water requirements.  Every system that we supply is designed to suit your individual needs.  In a well constructed, well insulated building, heat pumps and underfloor heating are probably about as good a combination as you can get when it comes to energy efficiency.

We supply a range of models and size of ground, air and water source heat pumps to suit every requirement.  Heat pump systems can be designed for buildings of all types, size and age.

Because we've spent years perfecting our system designs, it's not necessary for you to deal with separate companies for the different requirements you have.  We design fully integrated systems which essentially means that IHS is a one-stop shop for complete energy systems including underfloor heating, heat pumps, solar panels, Road Energy Systems, wood burning stoves and domestic water systems.  All these can be fully integrated and have been designed to deliver maximum efficiency and system performance.

IHS heat pumps yield a COP from 3.5 up to to 5.3 depending on the installation method used.  (A COP of 3.5 means that 3.5kW is obtained for every 1kW of electricity used).

The following table shows the variety of models, types and size of heat pumps.  In almost every case, the heat pump is supplied with a Hygienik Tank. You can find out more technical information about each product by clicking on the particular model title.

Why Do IHS Use IDM Energie Heat Pumps?

We've been working with our Austrian-based manufacturers, IDM Energie, for nearly ten years now and together we believe we've built up a formidable partnership built on our shared passion for technical excellence.

IDM are recognised as one of Europe's leading manufacturers of heat pumps.  Harnessing the energy in the ground, water and air, they've developed some of the most efficient heating and hot water systems on the market.  These systems offer exceptional control technology offering the ability to make life comfortable with minimum effort all year round.

Unique developments such as HGL Technology allow for the production of hot water at much temperatures but at efficiency levels similar to many lower temperature systems.  Navigator Control offers system control by internet as well as prediction of energy requirements over the day as a result of intelligent external temperature monitoring.

Key Benefits of IHS heat pumps from IDM Energie

  • Lower running costs relative to other heat pumps
  • Intelligent weather prediction (heat when you want it)
  • Hot water, when and as required
  • Systems designed for longevity
  • Systems designed for integration into any size and complexity of situation
  • Convenient system control and fault diagnosis over the internet
  • Full technical back-up available in the UK
