rainwater harvestingThe average roof collects approximately 85,000 litres of rain water annually. Installing a proper rainwater harvesting system will ensure that all that excess water can be collected up and stored for use in the home (washing machines, toilets - not drinking) and garden. Overall mains water consumption can be reduced by up to 50%. The water is collected from the roof, filtered to remove debris, then stored either above or below ground in a tank before being drawn up when required. |
